Cozumel, All Inclusive (Parks and Adventure)

Location :  Cozumel
The largest of Mexico´s islands, Cozumel is located 11 miles from the Mexican mainland and Playa del Carmen

The Island of Cozumel is a paradise for diving and snorkeling. Cozumel is recognized as one of the top diving destinations in the world, but you don´t have to be a diver to enjoy the underwater scenery.

Description
Because of the clarity of the water (100 to 200 feet visibility), Cozumel offers miles of coral reefs that are ideal for snorkeling and diving, for the novice to the most advanced. There are even breathtaking drop-offs for the experienced diver.

All are considered excellent dive sites by Caribbean standards (which are among the highest in the world), and, thanks to the efforts of activists and the high diving standards, most of the reefs are now within a marine refuge. In 1996, The National Marine Park of Cozumel Reefs was created. A $2.00usd/person tax will charged upon boarding the boat to snorkel or dive in any of these areas.

Cozumel is also the habitat for many nature reserves: the Cozumel Marine Reef National Park, Chankanaab Park and Lagoon, and Punta Sur.

At the Botanical gardens at Chankanaab Park you will find 350 different types of tropical plants from more than 20 countries. Punta Sur is a new eco-tourist park for visitors interested in learning about the Island's native flora and fauna.

Cozumel also boasts it own historical Mayan ruins, and a lighthouse overlooking the rugged Atlantic Seacoast of the eastern side of the Island. An Island of Contrasts is yours to explore!

Upon arrival at the Island, you will board a glass bottom boat and go directly to the Paraiso Reef, Dzul-Ha Reef, and Chankanab Reef where you will enjoy snorkeling for about an hour and a half. Then you return to the Cozumel pier for an excellent buffet lunch. After lunch there will be free time for shopping, taking in the sights, or simply relaxing.
