Today Yuctan´s dynamic progress is breathing new life into the region\'s fascinating past. In light of this reality, the Government of Yucatan State has introduced the novel concept of \"Service Units\". This innovating ideas are designed to offer the visitor all the benefits of a full-service Tourist Center during cultural and recreational excursions to the archeological ruins at Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Dzibilchaltun, the Caves od Lol-Tun and Balankanche, and the colonial town of Izamal. These Service Units also provide other attractions: an on-site museum, an auditorium showing videos all day long, a guide service, arts and crafts, photographic accesories, a restaurant, telephones, parking, taxi servives, first aid and restrooms. At the caves and at the main ruins sites like Chichen Itza and Uxmal, the view is enhanced in spectacular fashion with Light and Sound Shows that highlight the beauty of these natural and ancient wonders.
